Managing Director and Founder

David founded Consider IT in 2002 after building extensive experience working in and managing IT companies in Perth. His technology journey began much earlier, in 1978, with a Challenger 1P home computer featuring 8K of ROM and a 1MHz CPU. That early exposure sparked a lifelong interest in technology, problem-solving, and helping businesses use IT more effectively. Today, David leads Consider IT with a strong focus on client relationships, strategic planning, and practical business outcomes. His primary goal is to remove the burden of managing IT from clients, so they can concentrate on supporting their own customers, running their operations, and growing their business with greater confidence.

Terry Woods

Senior Technician

Terry has been with Consider IT for over a decade and has been the driving force behind our technical support desk throughout that time. He is a familiar and trusted contact for many of our long-term clients, known for his calm, methodical, and highly experienced approach. Terry focuses on identifying and resolving the underlying cause of technical issues, not just treating the symptoms. He is also highly personable and has a strong ability to explain technical matters in clear, practical language, helping clients feel informed, supported, and confident.

Mathew Libby

Systems Engineer

Mathew leads the technical systems and infrastructure that support Consider IT's service delivery, while also providing hands-on technical support to clients and the internal team. He helps maintain and improve the platforms, tools, monitoring systems, cloud services, and security technologies that keep client environments reliable, secure, and efficient. Mathew also brings fresh ideas and new technology insights to the business, helping Consider IT adopt smarter processes, improve service quality, and stay current in a rapidly changing technology landscape.

Business Development & Marketing

Maria works in Business Development and Client Improvement at Consider IT. With a business and economics degree, she helps identify opportunities for clients to improve productivity, reduce operational friction, and make better commercial decisions through the right use of technology, process improvement, and business insight. Internally, she supports client engagement, proposal development, marketing initiatives, and growth strategy.

Angela Libby

Accounts & Bookkeeping

Angela looks after accounts management and bookkeeping at Consider IT. She handles the day-to-day financial administration that keeps the business running smoothly: client invoicing, supplier payments, payroll, reconciliations, and the financial records the rest of the team relies on. Clients see Angela's work in clear, accurate billing and quick, friendly responses to account queries. Behind the scenes, she keeps the commercial side of the business as well looked after as the technical side, so David and the team can stay focused on clients without worrying about the numbers.

Our story

David started Consider IT in 2002 in a small office in Perth, with a simple idea: small businesses deserve the same quality of IT support that big businesses pay millions for. They just need it sized to fit, and explained in language that doesn’t make their eyes glaze over.

Twenty-four years later, the technology has changed enormously. The principles haven’t. We still believe IT should be a quiet helping hand in the background, not a constant source of frustration. We still believe small businesses deserve real people who know their name. And we still answer the phone when it rings.

We tell you what you need to hear, not what you'd like to hear. If you don't need a service, we say so. If a competitor would do something better, we say so. Your trust matters more than any single sale.
